New Patient Status
Next Wave Dental is currently accepting new private patients for routine dentistry, booking approx. 8 weeks ahead for a new patient appointment in our diary.
Due to a high number of sign-ups following the practice opening we are currently managing a patient waitlist. This allows us to stagger new patients appointments to ensure our diary has plenty of treatment time available for all new patients who require treatment.

Next Wave Dental is a ‘plan’ practice offering a range of dental savings plans that help spread the cost of your routine dental care over affordable monthly payments. During your new patient examination, your dentist will recommend a plan best suited to your dental needs.
Our plans are designed as a monthly ‘savings’ plan that once paid into entitles our patients to their routine examinations at 6 & 12-month intervals and hygiene at 3, 6, or 12-month intervals (depending on plan).
If you would like to enquire about any of our cosmetic services which include Whitening, Composite bonding, Invisalign or Dental Implants. These are available to both registered and unregistered patients, fill out our online form or email us on Reception@nextwavedental.co.uk and we can schedule your initial consultation.

Next Wave Dental is located in Newport, Barnstaple. We are next door to Newport school and a short distance from Litchdon Medical Centre.

We have a small amount of onsite parking available to patients which is located behind the main building. To access you need to drive down the side of our building. If the car park is full there is plenty of free on-street parking available nearby within 5 minutes walk of the practice. Please be mindful of our neighbouring school and not parking in their car park to access the practice.
Cancellations and Failure to Attend
We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service, and to achieve this, we need your cooperation.
We understand that you have a busy schedule and recognise the need to provide an efficient service. We will make every effort to book an appointment time and date to suit you and also offer an email, text and phone call reminder for all booked appointments in our diary. Patients then need to notify us if they cannot make the booked appointment.

Our practice requires 24-hour notice for cancellation of appointments. Please notify us within 24 hours of cancelling to avoid a charge of up to 50% of the appointment fee.
Patients who are unable to make their appointment because of illness should, where possible, contact the practice as soon as they are aware that they are unable to attend or if unsure to discuss the matter.
Failing to notify us before the appointment time will result in a failure to attend charge being added to your dental account of up to 50% of the treatment fee. For our Invisalign, Cosmetic and New Patient consultations a 100% of the holding fee will be charged for failure to attend or short-notice cancellations. We do take exceptional circumstances into consideration for both short-notice cancellations and failure to attend please speak with a member of our reception team.
